Satkhira A-League politician Mansur Ahmed as the symbol of purity

Satkhira district Awami League president and former MP and freedom fighter Mansur Ahmed bid farewell with respect and love. Soaked in the respect and love of millions of people, this veteran politician, a symbol of the purity of politics of Satkhira district Awami League, floated away in the sea of mourning forever. 

In remembrance of Mansur Ahmed, a former Member of Parliament and former District Council Administrator, everyone said with tears in their eyes that Mansur Ahmed has just passed away. He will live forever in the hearts of the people of Satkhira. 

At 2.30 pm on Tuesday, the massive crowd gathered at Shaheed Abdur Razzak Park in Satkhira. Earlier, people from all walks of life in the district paid homage to his body by laying wreaths. Before the Janaza prayers, he was awarded the Guard of Honor with full state honors. Before the Janazah prayers, Dr. AFM Ruhul Haque, MP of Satkhira-3 constituency and former Health Minister, Jaglul Haider, MP of Satkhira-4 constituency, Deputy Commissioner SM Mostafa Kamal, District Awami League General Secretary Nazrul Islam, Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman PPM (Bar), former MP Fazlul Haque, former Commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad Mosharraf Hossain Mashu, District Japar General Secretary Ashrafuzzaman Ashu spoke briefly about the life and work of the deceased. 

District Awami League vice-president, editor and publisher of Daily Vorer Pata, Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan, CIP said, Mansur Ahmed, a heroic freedom fighter, was the tree of Satkhira district Awami League politics. Just as he has left us, so too will he follow the path of the political ideology he left behind for us. I have seen him very closely, his affectionate caress to me surely I will remember until my death. We have to do politics for the people - there is no need to calculate what we want. MansurAhmed uncle told me this a few days before his death. I pray for the forgiveness of his disembodied soul. 

It should be mentioned that Dr Kazi Ertaza Hassan CIP Vice President of Satkhira District Awami League and Editor and Publisher of Daily Vorer Pata, has been in Satkhira and Dhaka since the day he fell ill. He came to Satkhira and attended the Janaza prayers. Tofail Ahmed, a member of the advisory council of the Bangladesh Awami League, has given his speech on his mobile phone during the prayers. 

His body was later taken to Nalta Sharif in memory of Pir Kamel Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah. The second janaza was held there. He was then buried at the family graveyard after the third namaz-e-janaza at the Parulia Fulball Ground in Debhata Upazila, his hometown. 

He breathed his last at a specialized hospital in Dhaka at 11pm on Monday. He was 73 years old at the time of his death. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Satkhira. After the corona came negative, he was taken to Dhaka by a helicopter on January 12 for better treatment. There he had a heart attack and left this world.
