The 3rd annual general meeting of Bangladesh Elevator Accelerator and Lift Importers Association (BEELIA), the apex body of elevator suppliers, was held on Wednesday (May 1) at Gulshan Club in the capital.

The proceedings of the meeting became lively with the spontaneous participation of general and associate members in the meeting. Asha starts at members' Gulshan Club from 9:30 am and ends at 4:00 pm.

President of Beelia Emdadur Rahman started the program with his opening speech and called on the General Secretary to conduct the meeting.

In the meeting, the newly elected executive committee for 2024-26 took oath. In the meeting, the evaluation of the previous year's work and the various activities of the current year were discussed. The General Secretary also proposed to amend the Constitution and the amendment was unanimously decided and the Executive Council was entrusted with the responsibility to take necessary action.

Last year's Finance Secretary Tariqul Islam presented the audited income and expenditure of 2023 and concluded his speech by appointing an auditor to audit the accounts of 2024.

Newly-charged Finance Secretary Moniruzzaman read the proposed budget for 2024.

Crests and certificates are awarded to each member present. Then General Secretary Md. Shafiul Alam announced the end of the meeting.
