Markets in Gulistan-Fulbaria also remain shut

Traders have decided to keep shut all the wholesale markets in Gulistan-Fulbaria considering the Coronavirus situation.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting at Annexco Tower in Bangabazar on Friday afternoon.

The wholesale markets are Bangabazar Complex, Annexco Tower, Mahanagar Complex, Dhaka Trade Center, Fulbaria Super Market, Sundarbans Super Market, Zakir Plaza, Nagar Plaza, City Plaza, Gulistan Puran Bazar, Banga Islami Super Market.

After the meeting, a business leader said that on March 23, the traders declared the Gulistan-Fulbaria markets shut due to coronavirus panic. Recently, the government allowed to open all the markets from May 10. But in the middle of Ramadan, there is not much trade in the wholesale market. Conversely, now there is coronavirus panic. So, they decided to close the markets. These markets will remain closed until the coronavirus situation becomes normal.
