Russia threatens retaliation against US

Russia has threatened to launch an all-out nuclear war if the United States launches a low-scale nuclear missile attack from a submarine, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova issued the warning on Thursday.

She said launching a missile from a submarine would be considered a nuclear attack, regardless of its characteristics and will be countered.

Maria Zakharova made the remarks after the United States deployed a small-scale nuclear warhead-carrying missile. She also called the US deployment a "dangerous move".

"We've seen the April 24 statement from the State Department," Maria said. We have said many times before that we see these steps by the United States as a dangerous act.

Earlier, on April 24, the US State Department said in a statement that the deployment of the warhead would reduce the risk of nuclear war. However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the warheads deployed by the United States had increased the risk of nuclear war.
