Section 144 imposed in Sangsad Bhaban area

Section 144 will continue in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area from 72 hours before the budget session of the Eleventh National Assembly.

During this time, any kind of meetings, processions, rally, and demonstrations in the Parliament House and surrounding areas will be banned – will be imposed by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The upcoming budget session (2020-21) of the 11th National Assembly will begin on June 10.

The decision was taken at a preparatory meeting of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at the National Parliament House on Thursday.

Senior Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Dr. Jafar Ahmed Khan presided over the meeting – attended by heads of utility departments including DMP, various intelligence agencies, Sergeant at Arms of Parliament, Fire Service.
