 Coronavirus death toll surpasses 211,000 globally According to the data received from the site, so far 211,612 people have died across the world from the deadly virus infection, and 3,065,525 people have been infected. On the other hand, 922,389 people have been recovered from the deadly virus infection. The virus, which was detected for the first time in China in late December last, has so far spread to 210 countries and territories around the world. The United States is the worst plagued by the deadly coronavirus in terms of both death and infection. So far, 1,010,507 people have been infected with the virus in the country. Of them, 56,803 have died. Italy has the second-highest number of deaths. So far, 199,414 people have been infected with the lethal coronavirus in the country. Of them, 26,977 people have died. Spain remains in the 3rd position in terms of deaths and second in terms of infection globally. The total death toll in the country is 23,521while the cases rose to 229,422. In China, the origin of the coronavirus outbreak, the total coronavirus cases are stood at 82,836, and the deaths toll remains 4,633 as no new death is reported in the last 24 hours.
