No pardon for rice thieves: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said there is no forgiveness for rice thieves. No discrimination will be tolerated in the name of relief distribution, he warned further. He said these at a briefing at his official residence in the capital on Tuesday. At the same time, the bridge minister said, the nation is united today to face the crisis with the courage and under the tested leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In the briefing, Obaidul Quader called upon all to come forward to face the crisis and said that everyone should conduct this activity irrespective of party affiliation. He also said that relief activities would be continued up to the grassroots level following the instructions of the Prime Minister. Regarding the BNP's allegation that they are being obstructed to conduct relief activities, the Awami League general secretary said, "Their allegation is completely baseless." There is no evidence of this. He added that they themselves are enough to deactivate the BNP. This is their consequence today for negative politics.
