ACC director dies from coronavirus

A director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has died from coronavirus in the capital.

The deceased is Jalal Saifur Rahman, hailing from Feni.

Jalal breathed his last at Kuwait Maitree Hospital in Uttara early Monday.

Alimuzzaman, Administrative Officer of the hospital, told Jago News that he had tested positive for coronavirus and was receiving treatment for 27 days. He was shifted to ICU four days ago and died early today.

His wife and children have been put in isolation ward of the hospital, Alimuzzaman added.

Jalal was an official of admin cadre of 22th BCS. He was transferred to the ACC as a director in 2017.
