Members of the army will be deployed across the country from Tuesday to help fight the coronavirus. 

Cabinet Secretary Khandakar Anwarul Islam said this at an emergency press conference held at the Secretariat on Monday afternoon. 

He said, the government has declared general holiday from March 29 to April 2 to stop spread of coronavirus. 

Bangladesh on Monday reported its third death from coronavirus and identification of six new patients, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 33.

Bangladesh reported the country’s first death from coronavirus on March 18.

The death toll from the coronavirus or COVID-19 has reached 15,307 globally.
