Rafia, Sadia to pursue study without worries
We dream so many dreams every day -- how much peace and endless supplies in the drawings of thousand colours for one’s survival. However, there are many people in our society who are afraid of having a dream. Although they dream a dream, poverty descends there.
Then they cannot even find the resort to survive in little peace. And if he/she is a meritorious student of a very poor family, then the case is devastating. Uncertainty about their education throws them into a sea of despair.

Finding out such students, Bashundhara Group, the leading industrial conglomerate of the country, has stood by them.
Sadia and Rafia are two meritorious students of Delpara village under Khurushkul union of Cox’s Bazar Sadar upazila. Although they are meritorious, they face uncertainty about their education. Bashundhara Group has stood by their families. Sadia and Rafia were given two sewing machines after they were found out through the members of Shuvosangho, the largest social organisation of the country.
Sadia’s full name is Tahsin Sadia. Sadia, the eldest daughter of Nazir Ahmed and Hamida Khanum, is a class-X student of Khurushkul High School. She has three other younger siblings. One of them is in class-VII and the other is in class-III. Their father, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, was struggling to bear the expenses of their study. Sadia’s mother can operate a sewing machine. Sadia has also learned how to operate a sewing machine. But in a family of scarcity, where will the sewing machine come from? If they could get a sewing machine, maybe it would be little easier for them to educate boys and girls. The family pursued such a dream for long. Bashundhara Group has come as a blessing to fulfil their dream. On March 2 (Wednesday), Bashundhara Group handed over a sewing machine and some materials for making some new clothes to them through the friends of Shuvosangho.

Not only Sadia, another meritorious student named Rafia Sultana was given a new sewing machine and clothes on the same day to carry on her studies uninterruptedly. Rafia, who lost her father 21 years ago, have four other siblings. Rafia is the youngest. All other siblings have completed higher education. Fatema Begum, the mother of an indomitable Rafia, has been supporting this family alone for the long years. This struggling woman is very tired at this age. Bashundhara Group stood by them when the little girl was getting frustrated about completing her higher education. The sewing machine and other materials have been handed over to Rafia, who knows how to sew.
After getting the things, the whole family has got their life back. They will be able to get out of the dire financial crisis, which is a sigh of relief for the family.

Rafia says, “Even though I knew how to sew, I couldn’t afford to buy a sewing machine. Allah has heard my prayer. Today I’ve been given a new sewing machine by Bashundhara Group. By working with this machine, I can now finish my studies without any worries. Like Bashundhara Group, I’ll also stand by the extremely poor meritorious students after finishing my studies. I’ll work for the welfare of the country and people.”
