Political Melodrama on a Dark Stage

Political Melodrama on a Dark Stage

A fresh conspiracy is being gradually brewing centring the political arena of Bangladesh. A certain group of the US administration is explicitly active in this regard. It is the concept of the observers that a dangerous conspiracy is underway to involve a so-called third power in politics of Bangladesh. When an election atmosphere is created in the country, an evil quarter raises its head from the ditch. Like in previous periods, such a group which is loyal to the USA, in the meantime, has expanded its sphere of communication. They are utilising the face of Dr. Reza Kibria. And, the number of faces is silently increasing. There are some individuals who are well-known for their derogatory speeches. Certain media provide them with an opportunity of presenting themselves before the screen to deliver insulting speeches. Some others even observe the reaction in an innocent manner through proxy subtly using others.

However, the right to speech is a democratically-accepted right and that is accepted in the Constitution. But, it is imperative to remember the sayings of prominent persons. It is that your limit of practising your democratic right should not touch the tip of my hair. But, sometimes it is observed that the limit is being violated. In recent times, another issue is silently raising its head. It is the activities of certain foreign diplomatic circles during local government elections. But this time their activities went beyond the election arena. It has been specially observed that they remained extra affectionate towards a certain circle which is out to achieve evil objectives taking advantage of election. There had been some subversive conspiracies behind creation of such a situation. Transaction of huge amount of money over allotment of the election symbol of boat and nominating comparatively weaker candidates led to the creation of a wrong conception in public minds about boat.

These incidents have been done by the infiltrators who have invested a large amount of money and entered deep into the organisational spheres and hatched conspiracies that bore fruits. And, centring this, a good number of western diplomatic missions have been maintaining close contact with some selected anti-government organisations and signboard-only political organisations. They have been doing so terming the act as their 'routine work.' Tea party, secret transaction, unpublicised programmes, and exchange of information – all have been included in this 'routine work.' And from this source, international decree is being issued.

As soon as the announcements of 'blacklisting' of certain personnel relating to the government or administration are circulated, shouting of anti-liberation forces also increased. It is interesting to note that such 'blacklisting' is not applied to anti-liberation forces. This is not being applied to the perpetrators of August 15, November 3 or August 21 incidents. A so-called developed country does not even bother to award citizenship to a jail killer who is also accused of corruption and involved in dishonesty and human trafficking and who has been arrested by the Malaysian government itself.

Yes, we are witnessing the incidents. We are spectators of jumping of the stars of the political stage who are engaged in objectionable discussions and unhealthy competitions and who are devoid of political wisdom and lack human values. We are also witnessing as to how some organisations are being devastated following external and internal attacks of termite involved in the process of decaying.
In the meantime, another Anti-corruption Commission (ACC)-related incident occurred. All of a sudden, Sharif Uddin, Deputy Assistant Director of the ACC appeared on the scene. As is found in a gazette notification, he has lost his job on February 16. And, since then he has been showing his war-like attitude against the officials of his erstwhile organisation. What is astonishing is that starting from a foreign media like BBC and some first grade mass media organisations have made Sharif Uddin a hero by publishing massive reports in his favour. He has waged a war against an organisation whose task is to uproot corruption. It is not only the task of this organisation to dig out corruption of outsiders, but also corruption of the insiders. Those who have created an outcry over Sharif Uddin, they did not even bother to think a bit about his honesty. What is his background, what is his strength of power and who are his news sources? None bothered to know the political identity of that news source or the tales of involvement of self-interest of anyone and about Sharif Uddin's abrupt revolutionary role.

As soon as an ACC official of middle grade stature was ousted from his organisation through a gazette notification, it was published in media that he might be a victim of forced disappearance. As to why, he went underground. A question may arise here. Who has encouraged him to go underground? It is of course the duty of the government itself. In this regard, it is imperative to keep one thing in mind. It is essential to find out the identities of persons accused by Sharif Uddin. What are their political identities? What are their faults?
Here is one point to ponder – whether there is any long-term motive behind this. Previously, a conspiracy was hatched against building Cox's Bazar as a city of global standard. There was also a conspiracy against the Padma Bridge. It is essential to find out if there is any link with such a mega conspiracy? The Anti-corruption Commission is a self-sufficient and independent organisation. It is a must to find out the persons who are out to damage the image of this organisation. It is necessary to find out the beneficiaries of the ACC's damage.
It is the task of the Anti-corruption Commission to protect its image. If this Commission can do any good deed then the entire country and nation will enjoy the fruits. And, if it fails, the organisation itself will have to suffer in many ways. It is the media who has opened the floodgate of spreading poison. Media should take the responsibility of clearing the poison by coming out of its earlier stance.
We started talking on a different topic. Here one thing should be remembered. It is that the number of people is on the rise who are waiting to take advantage of certain situation at certain periods. And, they are available both inside and outside as well as in each and every heart. Destructive elements are active enough to demean the achievements of the struggle of Bengalees, achievements of self-rule and independence. Under the guise of mask everything takes a permanent shape.

It is relevant to remember a foreign cinema. In a Halloween programme, all members of a family, wearing masks of different animals, assembled at a stage of light and dark background for distribution of huge property of their father who has recently passed away. The masks were of jackal, hyena, tiger, pig and poisonous snake. After taking food they thought that it was time to pull out the masks. But they failed to do so although they tried hard. At last they became tired. At the moment, a silhouette appeared at the stage. It is of their dead father; the soul of their dead father. He laughed aloud which taught them that the masks got fixed as per their own characters. They will remain fixed forever.

Today, after 50 years of the Liberation War, it seems to me if an arrangement is made to take stock of the achievements of the country and the nation then will all the masks remain fixed like the tale of the cinema? It is my earnest hope that this type of Halloween function should be organised under the auspices of the daughter of the Father of the Nation.
