JU BCS Officers' Forum provides medical equipment to JU medical centre

Jahangirnagar University BCS Officers' Forum (JUBOF) has supported medical equipment to Jahangirnagar University medical centre on Friday.

Vice President of JUBOF and additional secretary of Bangladesh Government Tahiyat Hossain and General Secretary of JUBOF and deputy commissioner of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Abdul Ahad handed over the medical equipment to JU authorities this afternoon.

Sponsored by Navana group, the forum provided two oxygen concentrator and a portable ventilator to the medical centre.

Addressing the handover ceremony, Abdul Ahad said, former students of the university love the campus, no matter where they are in their professional duty. From such a responsibility, we come here to support the university. We want to collaborate in different activities of the university. Hope that these cooperation will continue in the future.

Dr. Md. Shamsur Rahman, chief medical officer of JU medical centre, thanked JUBOF and Navana group for their support and hoped that the newly provided medical equipment will come of significant usage to provide quality patient care at the medical centre.

AGM of Navana Group Afzal Ibne Nazim, JU Acting Proctor A S M Firoj Ul Hasan, Professor of Govt. and Politics department Dr. Bashir Ahmed, professor of Pharmacy department Dr. sukollan Kuman Kundo and professor of Microbiology department Dr. Shovro Kanti Dey were present at the ceremony, among others.

Mentionable, JU BCS officers' Forum is comprised of individuals who graduated from Jahangirnagar University, passed the BCS Examinations and are now serving at different ministries, divisions, directorates, education institutions and other offices; or previously served.
