AL nomination form selling begins today

The Awami League will distribute nomination forms for the elections of 31 municipalities, four upazilas and three UPs from Friday.

The form will be distributed from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm till Thursday.

The candidates have to collect the nomination and submit the nomination forms from the party president’s Dhanmondi political office in the capital.

According to a press release signed by Awami League Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, the candidates can purchase nomination forms signed by the concerned district, upazila and municipality Awami League presidents and general secretaries and by resolution as per the constitution of the organization.

The nomination should be collected and submitted by the candidate himself or through a qualified representative of the candidate in compliance with the hygiene rules and without any kind of public gatherings. Candidates must bring a photocopy of their NID card while collecting the nomination form, the press release said.
