Mild cold wave likely to sweep over county’s river basins
The mild cold wave is likely to sweep over the north-western part of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am, said the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a weather bulletin issued today.
According to the BMD weather forecast, moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the river basins of the country and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.
Besides, the weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Night temperature, in the meantime, may fall slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged
over the country during the period.
Meanwhile, a ridge of sub-continental high has extended up to West Bengal and adjoining area, resulting in the seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The country’s maximum temperature recorded 28.5°C yesterday at Feni of Chattogram division while today’s maximum temperature recorded 8.4°C at Tetulia of Rangpur division.
Today’s sunset will be at 5:19 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 6:39 am.
