Driver killed in two trucks head-on collision in Tangail

A truck driver was killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between two trucks near Bridge No. 4 in the Charbhavla area on the Dhaka-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway of Kalihati in Tangail on early Sunday.

Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station OC Kazi Ayubur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that the deceased truck driver was identified as Md. Rubel Mia. The injured have been admitted to Tangail General Hospital. The injured were identified as Farhad Hossain of Dhamrai, Zainul of Thakurgaon district, and Nazrul of the same district.

The OC also said that two trucks collided head-on at Charbabla of Kalihati on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway at midnight on Saturday. Four people, including the driver and helper of the two trucks, were injured. Of them, driver Rubel died on the way to the hospital while the other three injured are undergoing treatment at Tangail General Hospital.
