‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera died from drowning

American actress, model and musician Naya Rivera has died of drowning. She started the boat journey by renting a pontoon from Lake Piru. She got out of the boat and went swimming, but never returned. Divers recovered her body on Monday, six days after the incident.

Police said Naya Rivera’s autopsy found no evidence of alcohol, drugs or physical illness. “She died by drowning,” police added, citing the autopsy report.

The 33-year-old Naya gained popularity by playing the role of Santana Lopez in the comedy TV series ‘Glee’.

After multiple affairs and divorces, Naya married actor Ryan Dorsey in 2014. Their child was born in September 2015. In 2016, Naya filed for divorce. The couple legally parted ways in December 2017. After the separation, the two shared custody of the child.
