COVID-19: Govt extends transportation shutdown till Apr 11

The government has extended the ongoing nationwide transportation shutdown for seven more days till April 11 to stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
The Road, Transport and Highways Division took the decision on Saturday.
A press release signed by Md Abu Naser, Deputy Chief Information Officer of the department, has been sent to the media in this regard.
Truck, covered van and all vehicles of emergency service delivery will be out of the restriction, the press release added.
Earlier on March 23, due to Covid 19, the government declared a nationwide 10-day holiday from March 26 to April 4, shutting down public and private offices except essential and healthcare facilities.
On March 24, the government also decided to shut down public transport from March 26 to April 4 across the country.
