Saif Power tec donates Tk 50 lakh for the treatment of Sitakunda fire injured
Saif Power tec Limited stood by the families of the injured in the fire at BM Container Depot in Sitakunda, Chittagong.
Saif Power tec managing director Tarafder Md. Ruhul Amin visited the patients injured in the fire at Chittagong Medical College Hospital and inquired about the situation on Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the helpless to stand by their side in this accident. In response to her call, the common people in Chittagong extended a helping hand. At that time, he announced a grant of Tk 50 lakh for the treatment of fire victims in Sitakunda.
At this time Chittagong Medical College Hospital Director Brigadier General. Shamim Ahsan, President of Chittagong Press Club Ali Abbas, General Secretary of Chittagong Divisional Sports Association Alamgir Mohammad Siraj Uddin, Executive Director of Saif Power tec Limited Nizam Uddin Ahmed were present.
Earlier, a fire broke out at a private container depot at Keshabpur village in Sonaichhari union of Sitakunda upazila around 9pm on Saturday. The fires reached alarming levels as one huge explosion after another took place in the chemical containers there. Despite trying all day on Sunday, it could not be completely extinguished.
Rescue forces have been bringing out one body after another since Sunday morning after the fire at the depot subsided. The death toll rose to 41 in the incident.
