Satkhira DC took responsibility of Marufa's education after getting chance in medical
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Humayun Kabir has taken charge of the education expenses of Marufa Khatun from a poor family who got a chance in medical college. He greeted Marufa in the conference room of the deputy commissioner on Sunday (April 10) at around 1.30 pm.
Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Humayun Kabir said Marufa Khatun, daughter from a poor family but talent. She has got the opportunity to get admission in Satkhira Medical College by studying with the hard earned money of his Fisherman father. The district administration is congratulating her. Besides, the district administration has taken the responsibility of Marufa’s educational expeenses starting from admission in Medical College Hospital.
He said that the entire cost of medical education would be borne by the state exchequer. The deputy commissioner has taken charge of her education on behalf of the district administration. Until the completion of Marufa's medical studies, only the person who will be acting as the Deputy Commissioner of Satkhira will bear this cost.
Marufa Khatun is the daughter of Ajit Biswas of Jyalanalata village in Tala Sadar of Satkhira. In the 2021-2022 academic year, Marufa got the opportunity to get admission in Satkhira Medical College with a score of 74 in the admission test. Her merit position is 3534. Marufa passed the SSC examination from Tala Shaheed Ali Ahmed Government Girls High School in 2019 and the HSC examination from the science department of Tala Mahila College in 2021. Marufa got GPA-5 in SSC and HSC.
Marufa Khatun's father Ajit Biswas, Taslima Begum, Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman, District Council Chairman Nazrul Islam, Tala Upazila Nirbahi Officer Prashant Kumar Biswas and other officials of the administration were at present in the conference room while handing over the greetings.
