Bureau chiefs and District Correspondent’s of Daily Vorer Pata and Daily People's Time warmed the heart in the cold of winter in mid-Poush. From Monday morning onwards, their steps echoed with festivity the office of the Daily Vorer Pata. The whole office turned into a reunion. The family members of Vorer Pata were overwhelmed by the joy of meeting their colleagues without cutting off the traces of the catastrophe caused by Corona pandemic.

After a long time, they also got opportunity to meet Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan (CIP) the editor and publisher of the Daily Vorer Pata and People's Time. Rafiqul Islam Ratan, a prominent journalist who joined the Vorer Pata family as an advisor, added a new dimension to this joy. The members of the Vorer Pata family have pledged to take the Vorer Pata and People's Time to the readers with new initiatives, new ideas and bring the progress of the country's development to the  doorsteps of the people by overcoming the long stagnation caused by the pandemic. Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan (CIP) also welcomed the enthusiasm and initiative of all and said that the history of civilization says that people can never do anything alone. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the Bengali nation, also did nothing alone. He called on the Nation on March 7 for the independence of a country, uniting all. The Bengalis achieved Independence by using that united force. I am a businessman. But I have published Newspaper without thinking of material gain. I have built a platform. It must be used for the welfare of the people. The members of Vorer Pata family across the country will work for the welfare of the country through this platform; will talk about liberation war, about Bangabandhu, about development. At the same time, we will unselfishly convey to the people the development going on under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina.

A Correspondent’s conference of Daily Vorer Pata and The Daily People's Time was held at Karwan Bazar office at 10 am. The first part of the Correspondent’s meeting was chaired by Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan (CIP), the newspaper's editor and publisher. Kazi Hedayet Hossain Raj, Editor-in-Chief of Vorer Pata and People's Time conducted the meeting. At the beginning of the delegates' conference, Imam Abdul Qadir recited from the Holy Quran.

Dr. Kazi Ertaza Hassan (CIP) said, "Our life has started to become normal in the Corona War." In these difficult times, the government has kept the overall situation of the country under control and has continued to make progress towards development. Visible changes are taking place in the development of the country. We have to leave all the crises behind and turn around in this changed Bangladesh. Otherwise we will fail to keep pace. He called for ensuring the accountability of every journalist in the Vorer Pata family and said that it was the responsibility of the news workers to bring out the problems and opportunities in the marginal areas. They have to try to highlight Bangladesh. I want to assure you, we have a crisis and there will be a crisis more. Even in the midst of this crisis, the publication of Vorer Pata and People Time will not stop. We are committed to tackling all issues and delivering the Vorer Pata and People's Time to our readers every day. At the same time, he commented that Vorer Pata Online is also providing news as per the demand of the readers.

Rafiqul Islam Ratan, Advisory Editor of Vorer Pata and People's Time said that, in the online era of information technology, the media is being taken over by social media, electronics and online media. People are becoming dependent on online now. The print media is on the verge of destruction with the touch of modernity. We no longer have to be trapped in the traditional print media. It is necessary to increase the confidence of the readers towards the newspaper by presenting news related interests of the country and the people and by adopting timely methods. "I am from a remote village," he said.

Referring to the present world of journalism, he said that the journalists of that time had established a place of honor in the society by working with understanding. At that time journalists were spoken with utmost respect. But now journalists are lagging behind in that respect. He said corruption and irregularities were taking place in the name of development. The number of journalists writing against this irregularity and corruption has decreased at an alarming rate. Journalists need to be more courageous to write about the problem.

The first half of the delegates' conference was an open discussion. At the beginning, a minute of silence was observed in honor of Abdullah Al Mamun, the passed Habiganj Correspondent’s of the Vorer Pata family.
