Cook beef while keeping nutrition intact

Cook beef while keeping nutrition intact

Even though the Eid-ul-Azha is over, various items of beef are still being cooked in almost all the houses. Beef is a protein-rich food that is good for our health. However, eating too much beef is harmful to health – because beef contains some fat as well as protein which also has health risks.

For this, experts recommend cooking beef healthily to reduce health risks. Tasnim Ashiq, Nutrition and Diet Consultant of Dhaka Central International Medical College Hospital, gave details in this regard.

“Whether we cook beef or mutton, many people think about the good and the bad side of dishes,” he said. Every food has its pros and cons. Or there are some health risks.

Tasnim Ashiq said 100 grams of beef contains 26 grams of protein and 2 grams of fat. Beef is a good source of vitamins. Beef is rich in vitamins as well as minerals.

Beef or mutton, whatever we say, has some fat. For this, after cutting the fat, we will cook and eat solid meat. By cutting off the fat, the health risks will be greatly reduced. We also get some essential nutrients from beef, Tasnim Ashiq added.

“We are getting iron from beef,” said nutrition and diet consultant Tasnim Ashiq. “For this, we will cut the fat and cook the solid meat.”

Besides, in many cases, there are doctor’s instructions. So, take protein as per the doctor’s suggestion.

During the Qurbani Eid or Eid-ul-Azha, beef is eaten more. That is why we can reduce health risks by cooking meat healthily.
