Film actor Shahin Alam passes away

Popular Dhaka film actor Shahin Alam has passed away (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un)

He breathed his last at Asgar Ali Hospital in the capital around 10:00 pm on Monday after suffering from kidney complications.

Earlier, Shahin Alam was admitted to the hospital last week. The actor, who came to the discussion after starring with Salman Shah, has been in Life Support since March 6.

Fahim Nur Alam, son of Shahin Alam and Zayed Khan, general secretary of Film Artistes’ Association, confirmed the information.

Fahim Nur Alam said that his father was suffering from kidney problems. He was suffering from a fever last Monday. He was taken to the hospital on Saturday. “Father has been in life support since that day,” he added. 

Shahin Alam’s acting career started with stage drama. He got a chance to act in a film through FDC’s ‘Notun Mukher Sondhane’ (In Search of New Face) in 1986. His first movie was ‘Mayer Kanna’ released in 1991.
